In 2015, I discovered the joy of splitting every log for my stove. Alas, my shoulder couldn’t appreciate my exaltation, and violent tendonitis kept me awake for several weeks. I took the car at night and decided to photograph the small towns around my home. All other people’s sleep is a comfort to the insomniac.
